Description[]
The alternative version of Finale is similar to the original Finale. but it has a keypad room where the exit usually is this time. It is simply named 'FinaIe'. (the L in this case is replaced by an I) The alternative finale is noticeably darker, and the player spawns in an extremely dark area. It is unknown what such area is supposed to be. Two of the lights seem to be functional and the rest are missing.
Upon opening the door, you are greeted with the same ballroom. A door with a keypad can be located where the exit usually is in Finale. This time, The Speaker is not present.
Developer Console[]
Directly upon joining the game, it reads:
You're still trying after so long. You're going to places that you shouldn't be. What's your goal? I don't understand.

Fever Dream Ending[]
Follow these steps in the Fever Dream Ending.
- First, noclip through a washing machine in the top left corner of the room and flick the hidden switch.
- Next, interact with the book on one of the washing machines. Instead of exiting to the left, open the door at the start of the hallway. Set the book on the glowing, blue outline, which will turn the light green and unlock the door.
- Head downstairs until you open a door that leads to a room full with eyes. In the top right corner of the room is a wall that can be noclipped.
- Walk down the hallway and the next staircase. Below the very last set of stairs is a door, and is unlocked or locked depending if the switch in the beginning was flicked.
- Turn sideways in order to fit through the small gap then go down the hallway to be teleported to here.

Trivia[]
- Kord has responded to a question about this with : "My interpretation of it is that the alternative finale is finale from a different timeline, one where the speaker doesn't know anything about the player, which is why you can then end up in speaker's place. Of course that would mean that you also then keep jumping around timelines but it's the backrooms so"
- The ballroom uses shadowmap and not future lighting, This is simply due to the fact that if the map were to use future it would be too dark.
