Description
The Good Ending is an ending in The True Backrooms: Renovated.
This ending initially starts in a seemingly grassy field outside. The atmosphere is extremely dark and foggy, further emphasized with the restriction of the flashlight. The player's only source of light are the lampposts, which guide you to a box with a single red button.
Once the button is pressed, a loud bang is heard, and it is revealed that you have not been outside this whole time, but rather in a gigantic, enclosed space. The walls and ceiling are the same as that of the Endless Office stage; the walls being covered in a slightly-pastel yellow wallpaper, the ceiling tiles being in a gray square pattern, and the lights being long, rectangular, and industrial, each containing two bulbs. The floor, however, is individual to this ending, though it shares commonalities with IN_DEV's tree section, Nobody Is Around To Help, SNOWED_IN, and the ending section of Disquiet. It is a hilly, grassy landscape, with a smooth surface.
Video
After falling down the hole and walking into the hallway, a short cutscene will play. Presumably, it is the player recording a video of themselves within Endless Office. This suggests that the Good Ending does not actually end with the player exiting the Backrooms, and instead restarting you in an inescapable loop.
After the cutscene ends, the screen will go black showing how long you've spent in the ending. After that, the player will be teleported to A Cosy, Warm Place.
Entrances
Eternal Lounge
Achieved by completing the game normally. This means none of the other ending conditions should be met.
Progress through the game in this exact order:
- Endless Office -> Overtime -> It's Too Much -> Great Deals -> Closing Day -> Substrata -> Natura -> Purgatory -> Delay -> Petrichor -> Nobody Is Around To Help -> Eternal Lounge
You do not have to start at Endless Office. If you have stages unlocked in the Stage Select menu, the latest you may start is at Eternal Lounge.
Exits
A Cosy, Warm Place
Follow the lampposts to the electrical power box. Interact with it and press the red button, which will turn on the ceiling lights. To the right of the power box, head to the staircase on the side of the wall. Walk up and enter the door. Afterwards, the player will fall down into a dark hallway, one which resembles Endless Office. A cutscene will play, then the player will be teleported to A Cosy, Warm Place.

Trivia
- The Good Ending is the default ending if no other ending criteria are met.
- This is the likely the first ending most people achieve in The True Backrooms: Renovated.
- It is very difficult to progress without turning the lights on, because you cannot see the staircase and are walking in the darkness. However, it is possible.
- The Good Ending is one of only two places in The True Backrooms: Renovated that plays a video. The other place being the Bad Ending.
- The Roblox place for the Good Ending is titled "E_2".
- The Good Ending bears striking resemblance to the ending of the 1998 movie Truman Show, in which Truman finds the edge of the world and manages to escape his fake reality, freeing himself.
