PUNISHMENT_STAGE - BRIDGE stages are randomly generated, with each stage being based off of a seed. Because they are all randomly generated, the levels are all different from one another.

Description[]

PUNISHMENT_STAGE - BRIDGE has PS1 styled graphics, with randomly textured walls, floor, and ceiling. The maze of this stage is also randomized and the footstep sounds depend on the texture of the floor. The ambience of this level is the same as Stage 2 and Stage 3. The stage also contain quiet wind, but the higher the Corruption level is, the stranger the ambience is. The strange ambience is simply APM music.

The quirk is the RNG, This stage level has each seed qualifying as it's own. There is a prebuilt seed which has no exit which was made for the pre-update ARG (for 3/4).

The seed number, level origin, and generated corruption level varies between all PUNISHMENT_STAGE - BRIDGE stages. The generated corruption level can be a number between 0 and 100.

Entrances[]

Stage 0[]

Scattered around Stage 0 are blotches of black ink on the walls. Walking into the falling black ink will teleport the player to a PUNISHMENT_STAGE - BRIDGE level, with a random seed and an origin from Stage 0.

The Speaker's Room[]

The Speaker's Place allows you to choose the seed, which results in different floor, ground, and ceiling depending on the seed. The Speaker's room also allows you to choose the stage origin. The higher the stage origin is, the higher the corruption level would be. The Corruption level is a game variable that determines how mysterious and absurd the floor, wall, ground, and ambience would be.

Exits[]

The fire exit of this level is odd, being in a completely white and square room with the fire exit itself not having the door and only the sign being shown, but yet the fire exit still functions. It can be accessed from multiple paths sometimes. Once entered through, it will display the stage origin and the seed of the stage. Entering the fire exit if the seed origin is from Stage 1 or Stage 2 will not teleport the player.

Stage 2[]

If the origin of the stage is from Stage 0, the player will be teleported to Stage 2 upon entering the exit.

Speaker's Place[]

Entering the exit if the seed origin is from the Speaker's Place will teleport the player back to the Speaker's Place.

Map[]

Due to the random nature of PUNISHMENT_STAGE - BRIDGE, it is impossible to create a map of this stage, because there are 18 quintillion possible seeds and mapping them all within a reasonable timespan would be impossible, although someone named "BenjiTTB" manage to map out a Stage 1 corruption seed.

This seed was used specifically for the renovations 3/4 pre-release ARG. This was found via another note, putting the note into the advisor, then putting the numbers from the advisor into TBV in the Speaker's Place.

Trivia[]

  • Despite the text saying, "Teleporting to the end" once the player reaches the exit, it is not possible to reach A Cosy, Warm Place from PUNISHMENT_BRIDGE.
  • The number of seeds for both negative and positive numbers are both equal to the signed 64 bit integer( 9223372036854775807), this means there are 18446744073709551615 seeds in total.
  • The place name in The True Backrooms: Classic is called "PUNISHMENT_STAGE - BRIDGE" instead of "PUNISHMENT_BRIDGE" as it's originally named.
  • Same seed on Stage Origin of Stage 1 and Stage 2 makes the same map.
