The Inspector is a mildly-docile entity found wandering Purgatory.

Description

The Inspector is an entity made entirely of black goop, in a humanoid shape. It has glowing white eyes that, even though they glow, do not emit light. Unlike Buzzer, they possess arms.

They are found wandering Purgatory, or more specifically, going from pad to pad. There are yellow pads near puzzles or in random places in Purgatory, and The Inspector will travel from one to another. The Inspector will not try to harm you unless you fail one of the puzzles (doing so will make The Inspector run faster then your running speed) or if you touch it. Note that sometimes its path can go where you are while you are doing one of the puzzles, and you can die to it while doing a puzzle.

Strategy

The Inspector is pretty easy to avoid if you know how to avoid it. It will never seek you out unless you fail a puzzle, making it an easy entity to avoid. However, if you do intend to fail a puzzle, it's highly recommended you go to either the left or right puzzles and wait until The Inspector is at one of the pads in the top corner. Only then will you have enough time to sprint to the gate you came through. The Inspector will struggle getting through this gate and they shouldn't ever be able to get through unless they hit the corner of the gate.
