Rules & Guidelines

Vandalization is strictly prohibited. This includes:
- Random paraphrasing or restructuring of sentences which did not require any fixing.
- Editing others' user pages without productive reasoning.
- Creating meaningless pages or categories.
Act with common sense.
Impersonation of other users, developers, or wiki staff is not tolerated.
Be kind and treat people with respect. Keep discussions civil and be open-minded about differing opinions.
Advertising is not permitted.
NSFW (Not Safe for Work) content is not allowed in any form.
Do not act in ways that could be deemed disruptive, like spamming, or discuss controversial or divisive topics such as politics, religion, or adult topics.
Off-topic conversations will be deleted. Remember, this wiki is for The True Backrooms on Roblox, not the internet myth fictional location from 4chan and its lore.
If you have been banned and return on a new account, your posts will be deleted, edits reverted, and your new account(s) will be banned.
If you see anyone who may be breaking these rules, contact an administrator via their message wall for help. There are currently two active administrators, MisterRedirect and Affishal, the latter being more active.
Administrators and moderators have the final verdict and reserve the right to moderate an individual for any issues not listed here.

Punishment

Consequences for offenses are issued based on the circumstances of the infraction, i.e. on a case-by-case basis. Administrators and moderators will distribute an appropriate punishment regarding the severity of each specific matter. Here's what to expect, as a general rule of thumb:

Light misdemeanor (e.g. meaningless edits/creation of pages, not following the Manual of Style, off-topic discussion, etc.): Warning, block if behavior continues.
Moderate infraction (e.g. vandalism, harassment, inappropriate content, etc.): Blocked for a week or appropriate timeframe.
Severe transgression (e.g. breaking FANDOM's Terms of Use & Community Guidelines, impersonation of staff/developers, etc.): Blocked indefinitely.

For appeals, please refer to an administrator's message wall or contact them through Discord via the Looped Games Discord server.

User Rights Policy & Request

The True Backrooms Wiki rarely gives out user rights as the main administrator, Affishal, is very active. However, if The True Backrooms Wiki were to receive more activity and needed more moderation, simply apply on Affishal's Message Wall, leaving a post stating you'd like to request additional permissions, like threadmoderator, rollback, etc.

Eligible and qualified users:

Closely follow the Manual of Style
Abide by the wiki's Rules & Guidelines
Have a decent number of meaningful edits
Are relatively active within the community
Are in good relations with the wiki's staff and its users
