The Waiting Place was a hub area located within Stage 0. It was added in 1/4 on Oct. 3rd, 2021 and then it got removed after the release of 4/4 on Oct. 5th, 2022. It was then later replaced with a level selection on the menu.
Description[]
The Waiting Place seems to be a long hallway with three other rooms to enter to. a room at the bottom right of the map, which serves as the entrance to the Speaker's Place. At the end of the hallway, there are two doors. The door on the right is an entrance to Stage 0. The door on the left is an entrance to Stages 1+ (Stage 1, Stage 2, and Stage 3). You can also see 'Waiting Place' on the wall in front of spawn.
Even though it was removed in 4/4, during April Fools 2024, you were able access it in THE TRUE HONKROOMS through a door in the Endless Office. Accessing through this way will let you explore it, but you can only open the door at 1+ and only one entryway leads you anywhere, that being the third entryway as it serves as an entry to Goosmanland.
Developer Console[]
This message will appear in the developer console, along with the other Stage 0 messages, if the player has accessed the Speaker's Place beforehand.

Joining[]
One must have either Good or Bad ending badge in order to access this place. On some occasions, the player might spawn in Stage 0 as a bug.
Speaker's Place[]
Exiting through the fire exit in the Speaker's Place will teleport the player back to The Waiting Place.
PUNISHMENT_STAGE - CATACOMBS[]
Failing to exit PUNISHMENT_STAGE - CATACOMBS will teleport the player to The Waiting Place, if the Good or Bad Ending has been obtained.

Stage 0[]
Go through the door labeled "0" . Head down the hallway to be teleported to Stage 0.
Stage 1[]
Go through the door labeled "1+" and walk down the stairs. Head down the hallway with the number "1" to be teleported to Stage 1.
Stage 2[]
Go through the door labeled "1+" and walk down the stairs. Head down the hallway with the number "2" to be teleported to Stage 2.
Stage 3[]
Go through the door labeled "1+" and walk down the stairs. Head down the hallway with the number "3" to be teleported to Stage 3.
The Speaker's Place[]
Enter the room with a radio in it, and go into the dark hallway to be teleported to the Speaker's Place.

- The Waiting Place is one out of only five places in the True Backrooms which is multiplayer.
- The reason why the Stage 0 path always led to a certain part of Stage 0 (or even why the player sometimes spawned in Stage 0) was because The Waiting Place was a part of Stage 0’s place.
